Underlining Tourism Solomons marketing efforts in the key Australia and New Zealand markets, the national tourist office‘s recently-relaunched 'Hapi Isles' Online Training Program has now attracted more than 200 travel agents.
Tourism Solomons Head of Sales & Marketing, Fiona Teama said she was delighted with the response to the relaunch which was a direct result of the hard work her team continues to put in across both sides of the Tasman Sea.
The relaunched program consists of a series of engaging modules covering various aspects of the Solomon Islands tourism offering, from its unique ‘living’ culture, WWII history, world-class diving, fishing and surfing to its stunning natural beauty and pristine eco-environment.
Ms Teama said the main thrust of the relaunched program is to educate as many travel industry staff as possible to the opportunities the Solomon Islands offers travellers.
“The initial response to our relaunched training program has been amazing,” she said.
“Our 992-island archipelago offers an unspoiled, authentic and unforgettable travel experience and we need to keep pushing that message across.
“Via this new program, Tourism Solomons aims to educate travel agents on the unique appeal and saleability of the Solomon Islands, positioning it as a truly compelling and very alternative South Pacific destination for their clients.”
