The Royal Solomon Islands Police Commissioner Peter Marshall says he is satisfied with the progress of the investigations into the rock throwing and shooting incident at Titinge last week in which a man in his late thirties died.

In an interview with SIBC News, Mr Marshall says a team of 20 investigators have been working around the clock - questioning people and collecting evidence relating to the incident, adding that at one stage they had up to forty personnel investigating the matter.

Mr Marshall says the investigation is to determine whether anyone acted unlawfully during the incident.

The Police Commissioner says it is far too early into the investigations to determine whether there is any criminal liability.
