The second elimination of the idol show is scheduled for the 20th of this month.

Judges have selected 18 contestants for the next round of the competition.

Member of the Solo Idol organizing committee, Charles Ratu told Solomon Times that this round of competition will be tough.

The four judges who will be judging the show will be strict, he said.

"After the second round, the senior category results will not be announced but instead voting will take place to choose contestants for the quarter finals."

Mr. Ratu explained that voting will give number to choose who is eligible to go on into the next round to the finals.

"The contestants must choose the right type of song which is suitable for the competition, so they have to choose a song that suits them," he said.
