As a developing nation Solomon Islands needs sound changes that will make it's political system effective and reflective of the changing circumstances of the country.

Former Governor General Sir Nathaniel Waena was commenting on the Political Party Integrity Bill which aims to protect the integrity of political parties and to put a stop to the trend of parliament members hopping from party to party.

Sir Nathaniel was among those who attended the public forum at the Multi-purpose hall in Honiara when he was interviewed by SIBC News.

The former governor general says the country cannot remain stagnate and accept that things will go well with the current arrangements in law.

He says people must catch the momentum of change and aspirations and whatever circumstances arise.
