Solomon Airlines is the latest Solomon Islands company to team up with the Sol2023 Pacific Games(PG) as an official sponsor.

The airline is the Games first Presenting Sponsor, providing in total more than SBD $ 5 million value of air travel, air freight and promotional content via its owned media channels, to underpin logistics and promotion of this year’s Sol2023 Pacific Games.

Announcing the sponsorship, CEO Solomon Airlines, Gus Kraus said the airline was proud to support and team up with GOC in ensuring that this year’s Sol2023 Pacific Games is a success.

“Sol2023 is a very significant event for us all, to highlight our country, our airline and our capability to international visitors and media. As Solomon Islands national carrier, we are excited to have that opportunity,” he said.

“Our support will enable the efficient movement of personnel, organisers and officials, and vital resources and materials via our air freight operation.

“We are proud to make that commitment and to play our part in ensuring the success of the Pacific Games, from the all-important lead-up phase through to the exciting staging of the games in Honiara,” he said.

As part of its sponsorship support the national carrier will also be the exclusive provider of domestic flight services throughout the country for the Games Baton Relay which will be launched 100 days out from the start of the Games.

GOC Board Chairman, Martin Rara welcomed Solomon Airlines Sponsorship, labeling it a timely and crucial one.
