One of Solomon Islands prominent sports administrator/executive, the late James Laore passed away on Tuesday night.

Officials of the Solomon Islands Rugby Union Federation called off the games in respect of the late Laore, whose body was transported to his home in the Shortland Islands in the Western Province on Thursday afternoon where he will be laid to rest.

The SIRUF Executive wishes to convey its heart felt condolence to the immediate family of the late James Laore, relatives and friends, for the sudden and untimely death of one of the country's outstanding sports leader.

"Surely Mr. Laore's outstanding service to NOCSI and other sporting federations which he had also served, particularly the Boxing Federation, will be very much missed".

Meanwhile, the SIRUF would like to inform the Honiara Secondary School Rugby 15's league teams that the match for Friday 12 will still go ahead as scheduled.
