The Solomon Islands Basketball Federation (SIBF) will be holding the 2007 3 on 3 Basketball Competition on Sunday, 18th November, at the Multi-Purpose Hall.
The competition will be limited to 16 men's teams and 16 women's teams. Entry into the tournament is SBD$100 per team with each team allowed a maximum of 4 players.According to SIBF, matches will be played in a pool system which guarantees each team at least 3 matches with each match timed at 7 minutes. Matches will start from 11am on Sunday morning with over 60 matches to be completed.
SIBF Australian Volunteers International (AVI) Development Officer, Ryan Burns, said, "there has been talk about this 3 on 3 competition for the past few months and I know that there are many players out there, both male and female who have been looking forward to this. It should be an exciting competition, with some amazing skills on display."
SIBF stated that all registration of teams should be made at the Multi-Purpose Hall to either Ryan Burns or Golden Kiloko before Wednesday 14th November with the SBD$100 registration fee.
