Rangers FC is set to return to the premier division of the city league after the team secured top place in the league's division one

After six years of playing in the lower divisions of the Honiara Football League, Rangers FC is set to return to the premier division of the city league after the team secured top place in the league's division one along side Hana FC at the end of 22 rounds of grueling competition.

Once a household name producing some of the country's best football talents who were regulars in past national soccer sides including the current Rangers coach, Matai Vave and the likes of Noel Beri and Dudley Natei, the team slumped to the league's lower divisions after a string of uninspired performances.

Gone are those days and like the league itself which has undergone positive changes after signing a multi million dollar sponsorship deal with DJ Graphics, Rangers FC are back on form and fans are predicting a return to the side's heydays.
