A special memorial match of Australian Football (AFL) attracted a lot of local participants as well as curious on-lookers at Panatina Oval on Saturday.

Mixed teams of local Solkick players and RAMSI military played for the
"Clark-Dunning Memorial Trophy" on Saturday in memory of Australian
Protective Services Officer, Adam Dunning, and Australian Army Private, Jamie
Clarke, who died while serving with RAMSI in Solomon Islands.

Solomon Islanders who took on the new code showed that they had what it takes to play AFL. While some had difficulty bouncing the ball, many, with their athletic flair, took to the game with confidence.

Successive RAMSI Australian military and PPF contingents have been
involved in the Solkick, training interested Honiara youths to play Australian
Football since 2004.
