Three RAMSI officers have been assisting the national volleyball teams in their preparations for the SPG in Apia, Samoa.

The RAMSI officers have assisted both the men's and women's volleyball team on technical skills and the fitness training sessions. One of the senior coaches, Mr. Norman, says the officers' first session with the team was very good.

"One of the officers assisting the team plays serious volleyball in Australia before joining RAMSI. He assisted in the technical needs on court and lot of team talk which is good for the players. The other officers were more into the fitness training sessions with the women's team. The coaching staff have really appreciated their help," says Norman.

The SIVBF president, Morris Maitaki, is currently attending the 2007 FIVB International Volleyball Symposium from June 23 to 27 in Saskatchewan, Canada, organized in close collaboration with volleyball Canada and the FIVB Development Commission. He returns on the 3rd of July before the arrival of Oceania Volleyball Development Officer, Brian McKinney, on the 6th of July.
