Forensic Service Officers and Naha detectives are investigating a break-in at a house in East Kola Ridge on Sunday night.

Thieves removed a DVD player, a camera, a laptop, shoes and other items during the break-in.

Initial investigations indicate that the offenders gained entry after forcing open the back door of the house and went to the sitting room where the items were kept.

Police investigators appeal to members of the public, in particular residents at East Kola Ridge, to be on the lookout for the stolen items.

Officer in Charge of Naha Police, Inspector Sterry Lenny, said police were working on a number of leads in this case.

Investigating Officers at Naha thanked the community for their valued assistance in the past. Recently, public assistance has helped police recover large amounts of stolen property.

"As always we seek input from members of the public. Last week we recovered six chainsaws due mainly to assistance from the public."

"In this case we have some good leads, so it will only be a matter of time before the offenders are identified," Inspector Lenny said.
