Prime Minister Hon. Manasseh Sogavare continues to highly commend the work done by front-line workers during the State of Public Emergency.
“You are our first and last line of defense. We owe you and your families, a huge debt of gratitude for your service to your nation and your fellow countrymen and women.” He said.
Prime Minister Sogavare further called on the public and the media to acknowledge the sacrifices made by the Government’s front-line workers.
According to the Prime Minister, it is the sacrifices of the front liners that “enable us all to continue to live freely.”
Hon. Sogavare further stated that many of the front-line workers have to “move away from their homes to support our students, especially those that are COVID-19 affected.”
“Please have a heart for them,” he said.
Prime Minister Sogavare requested all media platforms and outlets to respect the rights and privacy of the students and the front line workers.
The Prime Minister further called on all Solomon Islanders to continue to pray for the students and their families.
“I pray that our Father in Heaven will give us strength and courage to stand tall in the face of this adversity.”
The Government continues to be fully committed to the fight against COVID-19 in the interest of the health and well-being of its people, national peace and economic stability.
