Prime Minister Danny Philip has revealed that his government is commanding the support of 24 members of parliament, which included Ngella MP, Mark Kemakeza, who was said to have revoked his own resignation on Saturday.

The Prime Minister has also included in his latest count the MP for North Malaita, Jimmy Lusibaea. The Prime Minister said that Mr Lusibaea is eligible to vote, should the current impasse lead to a vote of no confidence.

Prime Minister Philip also revealed that East Makira MP, Alfred Ghiro, is yet to decide on his position, although he is hopeful that he will remain with the government.

The Prime Minister says government does not condemn the Ministers who have resigned saying government will still welcome them if they opt to return.

Prime Minister Philip also reaffirms that he doesn't want to be involved in what he termed as "cheap rhetoric" in the media.

He challenges the opposition to bring the issue "to the floor of parliament" during the March parliament meeting.
