Going through trials reaching yesterday, final selection for the nation’s Paralympians before heading into regional tournament will take place today, Wednesday.

Trials for Paralympians carried out at Solomon Islands National Institute of Sport (SINIS) involve ‘throws’ athletic events of shot put, discus and javelin.

Coach for Para Athletics [Portfolio 3], Augustine Olibuma inform that a total of five para athletes have taken part in the trials and have done really well in the three athletic events.

“We the coaches are really happy with the performances and the results from the ‘throws’ done during trials. We look forward to continue improving as we carry out our skills training within the coming weeks and months leading up to the Pacific Games,” said Olibuma.
