The late Bartholomew Ulufa'alu has been accorded with a State funeral today.

Acting Prime Minister Gordon Darcy Lilo stated that the body of the late Ulufa'alu will lay in state at Parliament House from nine o'clock this morning to 2:30 in the afternoon.

The public will have the opportunity then to file past the body to pay their last respect to the late Ulufa'alu.

"At about 3 pm, the body will be transported down to the Holy Cross Cathedral for the state funeral service. And thereafter late in the evening, the body will then be transport to his home place at Auki via the patrol boat" said Lilo.

The late Ulufa'alu has been hospitalized for sometime for ill health before he died mid morning on Friday.

Meanwhile, police caution drivers to expect some disruption to traffic between eight and nine o'clock this morning, and one to four o'clock in the afternoon.
