The high rate of selling and consumption of 'Kwaso' has concerned the police despite the many attempts to prevent it.

During yesterday's Press Conference with the Acting Police Commissioner, Peter Marshall, he stated that the Police will continue to make arrests for the selling and consumption of the illegal drink.

He went on to state that there have been countless people affected by the illegal drink and communities should start working together in partnership with the police.

"If you see anyone in your community selling 'Kwaso', you have to call the police or do something about it yourself," Commissioner Marshall stated.

He then went on to say that drinking kwaso is one of the contributing factors to some of the major problems in the town.

The illegal drink, 'Kwaso', has already caused a number of health problems, not to mention the activities the people get involved in while under the influence of the illegal alcohol.
