Isabel representative in the Federation Constitutional Congress, Chief Dennis Lulei, says the province believes in a state government system.

"The system we would like to have is not to secede or be separated from the Solomon Islands. We will still have the central government and there are the state governments where we share the responsibilities and functions of the State."

Chief Lulei says the people of Isabel still believe in having one national anthem, flag and Court of Arms. But he says the people believe autonomy is very important, that they must have the powers and the functions and funds to run their own destiny.

Chief Lulei says the two-day feedback meeting on the Draft Federal Constitution with leaders in the Hograno District of Isabel starting tomorrow is just a formality, because the province fully supports the state government system.
