Land, Housing and Survey Minister Martin Maga has re-iterated government's policy to set up land reform centres in the nine provinces.

Speaking in Parliament last week, Mr. Maga said this requires an allocation of 35 million dollars.

He however stated that the Budget Unit did not accept that amount but only agreed to give his Ministry two million dollars.

Minister Maga said the two million dollars plus six million dollars in the Recurrent Budget will enable the Ministry to start building land centres on Guadalcanal and Malaita.

He said the Lands, Housing and Survey Ministry will seek additional funds for the rest of the provinces in the June Parliament meeting.
