The government is urged to stand firm on its commitment of increasing the determined price on logs.

General Secretary of SINUW, Tony Kagovai said that the Sikua Government ought to be congratulated as it is seen as courage to put the people of Solomon Islands first by raising the price of logs internationally.

Mr. Kagovai urged the Solomon Islands Government not to allow themselves to become another casualty of the loggers' vicious ambition, greed, thirst for power and domination of the country.

He said that it is high time the government put its head high "because they have the full right to protect the sovereignty, integrity and interest of the country and its people."

Mr. Kagovai also urged loggers not to bully the Solomon Islands and holding the process of a struggling and developing nation and its government.
