The Auditor General's Office is currently undertaking interim audits of all Provincial Governments.

Auditor General Edward Ronia says auditors from his office have been sent out to the provinces early this month to undertake this annual programme to all Government or State owned enterprises.

He says they are engaging in this process of internal auditing before they undertake the financial statements or external audits of the provinces.

Mr Ronia says his office will report back to the provinces on their findings and assist the management to identify weak areas in their system.

He says any error or fault they find will be reported to the appropriate authorities to deal with.

Mr Ronia says another team will be sent out to the provinces in September to obtain financial reports from 2009 to the end of March this year.
