In a crucial 12-day operation, the Explosive Ordnance Disposal Department (EODD) of the Royal Solomon Islands Police Force (RSIPF) had safely disposed of more than 700 unexploded ordnance (UXOs) in Western Province.
The operation, conducted to address the lingering dangers from World War II remnants, showcased the dedication and expertise of RSIPF EODD Officers.
Supervising Commissioner Mr. Ian Vaevaso expressed satisfaction with the team's accomplishments, stating, "RSIPF EODD Officers have just returned from a 12-day operation in the Western Province."
This successful mission was marked by the team's ability to respond promptly to various reports, ensuring the secure recovery and disposal of the hazardous remnants scattered across the province.
