George Hoa'au, the Foreign Affairs' Assistant Secretary for Asia/Pacific Branch contracted a six-month work experience at the Forum World Trade Organization, Geneva, Switzerland last week.
Mr. Hoa'au, the attachment will participate closely in the Doha Development Round negotiations with relevant issues concerning Solomon Islands interest on fisheries, duty free and quota free market access for LDCs'.
The recent commitment in the Integrated Framework process which trade is integrated into the national development studies is one part.
The European Union funded this initiative as a three-year capacity building Programme carried out by the Forum Secretariat whilst Mr. Hoa'au, is the third official from the Pacific countries to benefit from the Programme.
