The Parliamentary Opposition camp reveals intention of moving a no confidence motion against Prime Minister Manasseh Sogavare in the next sitting of Parliament.
East Are-are MP, Edward Huni'ehu, said he intends to "plant the seed of truth" and to let the people of Solomon Islands know where the country is heading under the leadership of Mr. Sogavare.Mr. Huni'ehu said the Prime Minister will be given a chance to defend his government and "the unpopular decisions" made since taking up office last year.
He described the motion as "about issues and not character assassination", stressing that the only way to resolve the leadership crisis is to remove Prime Minister Sogavare.
Mr. Huni'ehu said in moving the no confidence motion, he intends to raise a number of issues of concern to the public for Parliament to debate.
He stressed that the motion is not about which group has the numbers in Parliament, calling on the Prime Minister not to bother "publishing his numbers in the media".
