The delegation traveling to the Provinces will include the JOCV co-ordinator, Japanese Volunteers and some media representatives.
Mr. Rex Solo, the Assistant Program Officer for JOCV under the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) stated that the main purpose for the visit is so the volunteers can show the media and Solomon Islanders, "what they have been doing since they arrived as volunteers in the Solomon Islands."
"Sometimes we may think that these Japanes volunteers are here as tourists however, they are doing worthwhile things in the Solomon Islands, which is why we want to travel to the Province to showcase what they have been doing," says Mr. Rex Solo.
According to Mr. Solo, some Japanese Volunteers are also living in Kirakira, Makira Province where the team will visit for three days to provide awareness.
Solomon Times understands that the Japanese Volunteers in the Solomons mainly work in the education and health sector.
