Speaking at the launch, His Excellency Sir Nathaniel Waena said that the launch of the pidgin Bible is "really great" as it falls on the country's 30th independence anniversary.
Sir Nathaniel acknowledged the translators for making the day come true for Solomon Islanders.
He said that the pidgin Bible will bring Solomon Islanders together "even though we are from different provinces."
Sir Nathaniel urged leaders to be of good example to the people of the nation as they celebrate together good things.
He said the launch of the pidgin Bible will help the Solomon Islanders know and understand better the context of the Bible.

The recent launching of the pidgin bible at Saint Barnabas Cathedral on the 6th of Sunday is said to be one important thing that has happened in Solomon Islands history.
