The Solomon Islands National Institute of Sport will soon launch a sports scholarship program targeting high performance coaches.
The scholarship will support the development of coaches for the various sporting federations in the country as it prepares for the upcoming Pacific Games.
“The High-Performance Coach Scholarship program will provide professional development support to coaches of each of the National Federations competing in Sol2023 Pacific Games.
“To enhance the National Federations and support their medal objectives for Sol2023, the High-Performance Coach Scholarships will help provide athletes with the coaching support they need in the Daily Training Environment (DTE) and Daily Competition Environment (DCE),” a statement from the Sports Institute said.
“Coaches will be working side by side with the Performance Services support team at SINIS, with the aim of creating an enabling environment for athletes. The coaches will also be supported to complete a range of qualification programs.”
Nominations for the sports scholarship from various sports federations will close on the 3rd February 2022.
