In my own view, I think it will be undemocratic and unfair if the electoral act is ammended to give rights only to "brainy candidates" to contest the general election as some individuals have earlier claimed. Amending the electoral act will not solve the ongoing political corruption expericed in the parliament. I think when it comes to money and politics there is no guarantee that candidates with brains (well educated) can make a good leader. Infact some of them are the worst. To be a good leader for the people does not always necessarily mean to be well educated, it is all about transparency, honesty and committment to serve others first as our motto says "to lead is to serve" and not "serve is to lead"
May God bless Solomon Islands
Good Leaders
