Party affiliation
I doubt the candidates contesting for the upcoming by-elections are affiliated to any political parties. Given the limited time left before the next national election and for the purposes of by-election, our political parties have subsumed into whether you are on government boat or on the opposition boat. As our Speaker of parliament has alluded to that political party exist purposely used by politicians to finance political campaigns (Kenilorea, 2008). To add, our populace have lost sight and touch on political parties. However, various political manifestoes may still exist and perhaps may have transformed into various coalition government of the day policy frameworks, although people may inarticulate the merging and transformation of such policies.
