Doctor Shortage
Every year we have more doctors from Solomon Islands graduating. I wonder, where are they? The issue of brain drain shows government's weak and poor policies in regards to its human resources, more importantly its highly qualified human resources. My analysis on Public service of Solomon Islands reveals Ministry of Health have a poor managerial systems in terms of its human resources, facilities and financial assets. This doctor shortage is not a surprise but it is very critical to economic development of Solomon Islands. This is a serious issue and the government must address it before it losses all its other human resources.
