It's ungrateful when one cannot appreciate a generous donation or assistance that has a gap to fill. There are numerous patients at the National Referral Hospital which need the usage of wheelchairs. A worthwhile action to take is to publicly say "thank you very much ROC".
In regard to our country's donor dependency syndrome, it is not solely the responsibility of either the donor body, the government or the people. We can tackle the issue together head on when the government or our leaders take the leading role and hold the hands of the people including private sector, NGOs etc plus the donors.
But after 30 years of self rule, it's high time our nation derive strategies and approaches to slowly eradicate the donor dependency syndrome.
