The Solomon Island government is lying about the agreement. The government is aligning with a country with vastly different Social, Religious and Political beliefs and values. Once this agreement is done It can't be undone. This will be the first time a military base will be set up by a foreign country in a country that si a member of the Commonwealth.
China and Solomon Islands are set to sign off on a security deal that will see Chinese warships based in the Pacific and shift the balance of power in Australia’s region.
The agreement will give China the power to use its military to protect the safety of Chinese personnel and major projects in the Solomon Islands
