As a former UPNG student, I understand how PNG police do their policing. When they think the incident require action, they don't negotiate like the SI Police often do. They immediately take action and take control of the situation.

Basically, that's what PNG police did and now that it has been resolved by the parties involved, its now water under the bridge and lets move on.

Also since COVID-19 community transmission is now the main focus in the country, I don't think there will be another riot at this time and there is no security threat. Our PNG FIJI brothers can now return home to their families.
