Solomon Islands is still COVID-19 free, and this great success is as a result of our SIG vigorous control of our borders. The previous 20 positive cases were by Flights coming into the country. I fear for our safety this flight from Fiji who is currently affected by the Delta Variant of the Coronavirus.
Our front liners must continue to be resilient, protective and adhere to our strict covid-19 measures. A single case of covid-19 delta variant infection in our community will bury this country economically, socially, physically and whatever effects you name it.
