Dear editor,

I just want to make my comment to what Mr. Wale said in the article concerning the church in regards to its roles.

Solomon Islands is a Christian country, what Wale said was really true. The church must not be quiet about anything if its not consistent with the church.

The church should be like a watchdog or a whistle-blower to the government. It should not be blind-folded by money or our culture as Wale has rightly stated, but should independently watch out for policies that are not consistent with our so called Christian principles.

I therefore, urge Solomon Islanders to speak out against things we think are not appropriate. This is a democratic country. and it is our democracy right to speak out against what we believe is not good for this nation.
