I was a chief magistrate in your beautiful auki and honiara in 1982-83 and my family was invoved in a crash landing at henderson field in may 1982 but we were all safe due to a great aussie pilot Bruce.
I was a pal of Wawari Sanga and Andrew Nori and loved my times with the birdwing butterflies and exploring bloody ridge collecting war relics.
Our sons were 7yrs and 9yrs when we came to honiara and have great memories of stick insects and the river fiu and seeing the Queen on her visit. Loved the lovely people.
