Dear editor,
I am so sad to read on the news and on social media those that have perished on the Taimareho trip. I am so shocked! Why was the boat allowed to even leave? Everyone that day knew there was a cyclone coming. It was on the radio and on social media. There is no excuse!
Someone should be held responsible for this. And please let us not solve this through custom because people will never learn. Someone must be punished for his or her negligent behavior that led to loss of lives.
My thoughts and prayers to the family and loved ones of those that perished.
Why was the boat allowed to leave?
