Corruption of MPs
Solomon Islands gained its independence in 1978, with a lot of quality leaders elected into the Parliament. The country had gone through a lot of challenges in its political history with one ethnic unrest and two political riots. 2019 National Election was expected to be free from political corruption with new leaders. However, it is recorded in the SI political History as one of the most corrupted election held. Thus, there are 27 petition cases accepted by the High Court of Solomon Islands to deal with the truth behind the leaders elected into the Parliament.
