The parliament is becoming a floor of fighting out MPs interest rather than interest of the country.

According to the commission's list of Candidates, I understand Frank Short was fisrt on the list. And i believe haivng someone that will be influenced by certain groups in the Parliament is what i think should be avoided.

The Commission as much as possible should be independent, where the appointee should be their decision and their decision alone. What the parlimaent should be doing is endorsing the decision of the Commision.

Solomon Islands for so long as been suffocated by corruption and important position like the Commissioner for Police should be free from political interferences.
