When I was a 1st Div Marine on Guadalcanal, I watched a USA tank go through the bushes in front of me. The driver did not know there was a river bank within meters on the other side of the bushes. The tank flipped over onto it's top. Being upside down, the men inside could not get out. I often dream about that.
I was wondering if that tank was ever pulled from the river. I would be interested to hear from anyone who can tell me about that tank.
