I refer to the article entitled "Tax Invader Warned". I applaud of the Commissioner of Inland Revenue for his statement. What I need now is for him to act against those who has not been paying income tax or underpaying income tax.
Let him give us the statistics of how many of the 50 or so logging companies that he has audited, and these are the companies that Westpac bank doesnt want to accept their bond fee of $250,000. Let the commissioner be honest of how many local companies have now filed a tax return and not been investigated at all. Talking is one thing, doing is another, and finally there must be fairness.
