Dear Sir,

I was interested to see that your Prime Minister has stated that he is against commercial whaling but supports Japan's whale "research". It is very clear as documented by Greenpeace and others that whaling by Japan takes place on an industrial scale and the meat is commercially sold. No scientific data is collected and the cover of "research" is simply a convienent loophole to avoid the whaling ban.

Lets put this another way. What new facts have we learnt about whales from Japan's research. I think we all know the answer!
