Political instability
The Solomon Islands will never achieve political stability until parliamentarians with dubious backgrounds (not all) are prepared to put aside personal self-interest in preference for a non-corruptible Prime Minister who has the overall interest of the people & country at heart. Under the current Solomon Islands electoral system, the people may elect their representative to Parliament, but (unfortunately) have absolutely "no say" as to who will be elected as Prime Minister as this is left to elected parliamentarians to decide based solely upon personal preference & self-interest without (on many occasions) consideration to the wishes of their electorate or the integrity of nominees for such an important position.
