I watched our athletes at the recent South Pacific Games and it is just shameful. Yes we did win a handful of medals, few silvers and a couple of bronze, but I think it does not do justice to the amount of gifted talents we have.

We must start giving some serious thought to building up our facilities to train up our future stars. We cannot compete, or stand a chance of winning Gold, if we continue training our athletes with substandard equipments or facilities. You train using substandard equipments you will get substandard athletes - it's as simple as that!
