Dear Editor,
It is sad to hear that the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Finance and Treasury, Mr Shadrach Fanega, has stated that the government finances are going to remain tight. What is surprising is that he blames the Global Economic Crisis and the downturn in government revenues. I would have thought that he would be blaming the public officers that have misappropriated $433 million dollars worth of government money. Now, if the government still had that money, would things be tight?
