It is with great alarm to see this catching of wild owl predator birds that are protected under international law. In the US, Australia, New Zealand , and EU trading in predator birds is not legal.
These owls are a part of the eco-system which must be protected in the Solomons. In addition, owls catch and eat rats and mice and control these types of rodents.
We urge the proper officials to confiscate and release this owl and prevent any further destruction of this wildlife.
