Dear Editor,
I wish to support and applaud Mr. Makabo for his sentiments. I am not sure whether the Minister ever sensed what Mr Makabo has highlihted. Why blame the developed countries when tiny countries like SI is even contributing worse to the effect of climate change and global warming.
Change has to start from our back yard, stop pretending that we do not contribute to the increasing Carbondioxide emmissions when on the other hand, we are even more worse. I guess the Minister and government should do more good to lobby support for the impacts of climate change if he can do away with logging in the SI, otherwise, stop pretending.
SI is a great contributor to releasing more Carbondioxide in the atmosphere so we should not lobby for 350ppm, thats what we want, do more logging in our Islands. Enough of pretending. It does not bring us any good at all
Nation wide action on climate change
