Like Drummond, I agree RAMSI should leave sooner rather than later. RAMSI has succeeded in bringing the civil unrest to an end, something all Solomon Islanders are grateful for. Its usefulness in controlling routine crimes has been minimal though.
I think the move to keep the RSIP unarmed was cleverly manoeuvred to warrant RAMSI's continued presence. Unfortunately this only undermines the trust and confidence RISP needs to build a peaceful Solomon Islands.
