This is just to present my view on issues raised against the office of the Education Attache here in Suva. I think that the authors have overlooked the fact that the Solomon Islands Students Association (SISA) here at USP is a Students' Union. This is the body that was formed to pursue issues regarding the welfare of the students in relation to their studies. If you don't agree with me, then you need to read the SISA Constitution where the objectives for which it was established are enshrined. Therefore, issues such as termination of scholarships, increase of students' allowances etc..etc..should be directed to the appropriate authorities through SISA. On the contrary, the Office of the Attache is a Government office. How then, can we expect him to bark here and there about those issues while SISA is collecting the Students' annual subscription? That's utterly foolish! So lets get our facts right before going to the media like an old proverb says, " it's better to remain silent than to expose our ignorance".
