Dear Editor,
I would like to clarify the issue about the Swine Flu here in Fiji.
As someone who is working CWM Hospital in Suva, I am shocked to see such revelation in the Solomon star issue "Tuesday, 30 June 2009 ". I for one agree with JEFFERY JUNIOR BAEGA as this is just an over exaggeration of what is actually happening !!
The situation here in Fiji (Suva) is normal despite warnings have been given out to take necessary measures to avoid the infectious virus. The majority of cases are from the western side of fiji ( nadi and lautoka ) and this confirmed cases having coming back from overseas countries.
With the simple precautionary measures outlined in Fiji One Television I am sure there is no need to worry about ( unless this concerned person cannot follow those simple instructions). Moreover, we who are working day in and day out in the hospitals are the ones that should be worried. And yet were not, so my friend from USP ( who wrote the issue in solomon Star) please dont be alarmed, ( I hope you keep in mind that the Media here in fiji also over exaggerated this Swine Flu dilemma )
