This is an issue that all Solomon Islanders should be concerned about and rightfully put pressure on the government to provide the answer. It just boggles my mind the amount of money that keeps disappearing from government coffers year in and year out. If an ordinary person does this, he is called a thief but if it occurs in the corridors of Parliament, it is called bad governance and is conviniently swept under the carpet. If these funds were used for the right purposes, Solomon Islands would have now achieved all the millinium goals and be as developed as any of the first world countries.
Lets hope that educated Solomon Islanders will take some responsibility and ensure that such news gets filtered down to the grassroots persons. After all they hold the key to who reenters parliament after next general elections.
